BBC Radio 1: Shame - Lampoon
South London's Shame are now on the iconic Radio 1 playlist! Make sure you tune in to hear their track 'Lampoon' being played across the network all week.
Supported by: Our wonderful crew at BBC Music Introducing in London.
Style: Infectious punk.
Essential: Shame are a punk band from South London. Their raucous yet witty punk sound has elevated them to becoming one of the hottest new bands on the scene. Their debut album ‘Songs Of Praise’ came out earlier this year, and they did a fantastic Maida Vale session for Annie Mac. During their live shows, they tend to get quite rowdy and energetic - count us in!
BBC 1Xtra: Kritz93 - Woah
Kritz93 is now on 1Xtra's playlist as our artist of the week! For the next seven days you can hear 'Woah' being played by Dotty, Mim, Nick, Twin B and Yasmin across the network.
Supported by: The guys and gals BBC Music Introducing in London.
Style: Head boppin' hip hop.
Essential: Kritz93 is an artist from East London who first uploaded to Introducing in March 2017. He has been making music since the age of 11 which started in the playground and at MC nights at his local youth club. He is influenced by Ghetts, Wretch32 and Wiley, and we love the fresh, raw UK sound he is representing.
