Presenters and guests at The Bristol Institute of Modern Music
At the end of February, BBC Introducing in the West went on tour to the Bristol Institute of Modern Music. We invited 50 guests to the music college for an evening of great unsigned, undiscovered and under the radar tunes and conversation. The topic was simple: how can musicians get on in the music scene?
Guests included Dave Bates, a local music legend and A+R scout, Richard Parfitt, a professional songwriter and lecturer at Bath Spa University, and Tom Young from BBC Introducing HQ.
There was a live session from Gloucestershire's Kitten and Bear, questions from the audience and all the usual features from the BBC Introducing team. Check out the backstage feature below, with John Harper from the Bristol Institute of Modern Music.
