Following in the footsteps of Jessie Ware, Banks and Jhene Aiko, SLK is the latest in a line of talented female singer-songwriters making atmospheric, ethereal alternative-R&B that’s getting the world very excited. It’s a sound that has become increasingly prevalent in recent months and seems sure to produce a few breakout stars in the near future. This young lady could very well be one of them.
She’s a London based singer-songwriter who has been supported heavily by BBC Introducing in the capital. Ride is taken from her debut EP Form which is out at the end of May – she’ll be following that release up with a London gig in June.
