On the playlist: Slaves - Where's Your Car Debbie?

Each week a BBC Introducing artist is selected for a spot on the Radio 1 Playlist. This week it's Kent band Slaves and you will hear their track Where's Your Car Debbie? on daytime shows including Fearne Cotton and Scott Mills. Listen to the tune below and read up on this very exciting band.

Hometown: They’re from Tunbridge Wells in Kent.

Style: They’re a garage punk duo who’ve impressed Zane Lowe and Dan P. Carter so much that they’ve been booked for Radio 1 Rocks.

You Need To Know: They drew a big crowd at the BBC Introducing stage at Reading / Leeds last year and have since been on tour with Drenge and Andrew WK. This track’s about trying to find their friend Debbie’s car before being attacked by a giant Bigfoot. Obviously.

Supported By: They uploaded their first track in early 2012 and have been heavily supported by the good people at BBC Introducing in Kent.
