On the playlist: My Forever - The World Won't Wait
Tom Young
Introducing online producer
The final BBC Introducing spot on the Radio 1 playlist for 2012 (don't worry, it WILL be back in 2013) has been handed to pop rock band My Forever. Their single The World Won't Wait will be played by daytime DJs and given away as part of Huw Stephens' free download after his show on Wednesday night.
Hometown: My Forever are from Thirsk in North Yorkshire.
Style: The World Won't Wait is the title track from their new EP and ripples with pop-rock attitude in the vein of You Me At Six and All Time Low. The intricate guitar runs, thumping drums and well-timed breakdowns provide the key ingredients for a smart, catchy track - you'll find yourself singing along with Dave Ingham's vocal in no time.
You need to know: The band filmed the video for The World Won't Wait at Manchester Airport in the Concorde Hangar.
Supported by: The track was brought to the Radio 1 playlist by Jenny Eells and BBC Introducing in York and North Yorkshire, who gave it its first play at the start of November.
