Asylums are the latest BBC Introducing act to be selected for our sought after weekly spot on the Radio 1 playlist. Their track “Joy In A Small Wage” will receive plays from Clara, Greg and Scott. Find out more about the four friends who performed Glastonbury for the first time on the BBC Introducing stage last weekend.
Hometown: Southend-On-Sea
Style: Indie pop has never sounded happier from this these DIY fuzz rockers. Taking influence from American rock as much as they do from UK indie leaders, this is a great lead track to get your teeth into. For fans of Catfish & The Bottlemen and Circa Waves.
You Need To Know: Asylums first uploaded their music to their local show in Essex 10 months ago. The show supported them from the start and after working on building up a discography they performed on our stage at Glastonbury last Saturday. The band are currently working on a debut album that they hope to release at the end of 2015.
