BBC Introducing and PRS for Music Foundation team up with 1Xtra at SXSW

For the first time in the history of the BBC attending South by Southwest (SXSW); March 2016 will see BBC 1Xtra’sCharlie Sloth, MistaJam and DJ Target hit the streets of Austin, Texas, for the prestigious music festival.

Hosting our 2nd BBC Introducing showcase of the week (read more about our 1st showcase here), again in partnership with our friends at PRS for Music Foundation, the 1Xtra presenters have curated a line-up with the newest, hottest talent from the UK's genre spanning urban music scene – as well as some exciting special guest performances. These exciting acts are:

Leo Kalyan

and special guests:

J P Cooper

Shakka

As well as being able to hear highlights from this show on 1Xtra the following week, all three presenters will be broadcasting live from the event with a six hour long special straight from Downtown Austin on Saturday 20th March from 7pm UK time.

The BBC Introducing and PRS for Music Foundation showcase with 1Xtra will take place on Friday 18th March.
