BBC Introducing & PRS for Music Foundation head to Montreal

Jamie Cullum

BBC Radio 2 presenter

My show on BBC Radio 2 regularly features music that I’ve found on the BBC Introducing Uploader. It’s a fantastic resource to find the best unsigned and under-the-radar music being made by British jazz musicians. That’s why I’m absolutely delighted to be hosting the first ever BBC Introducing & PRS for Music Foundation Showcase at Montreal International Jazz Festival on Wednesday1st July.

It’s an event that transforms the Canadian city and sees over 800 concerts take place. As well as attracting massive names such as B.B. King and Ella Fitzgerald, it’s also a great way for new musicians to be seen and heard by brand new audiences. That’s why I’m sure that the three UK acts that get the chance to play our showcase are bound to have a brilliant time. So, if you think you’re music is good enough, then be sure to get your tracks on the BBC Introducing Uploader. I’ll be listening, alongside some other big jazz fans, and, thanks to BBC Introducing’s partnership with PRS for Music Foundation, we could be bringing you to Canada to play this very special showcase.

Blog comments will be available here in future. Find out more.
