Once a year is ample

As I'm sure you already knew, the week of 15-21 October will be European Local Democracy Week. I shall leave it to you to consider what happens to local democracy the rest of the year.

Torbay Council, which I had not previously thought of as an uber-enthusiast for all things European, is doing its bit to promote Local Democracy Week by publishing a wide range of helpful facts, figures and contacts - and for lazy journalists like myself, a press release.
