Horizon on Everest

A short note

Just to note that the majority of the team are heading back up the mountain today. I am feeling quite nervous, as I was not well last time, but if I do not go I will always wonder what would have happened. I am doing the slightly easier trip to camp one by breaking my journey at Lake camp. I will be in touch when I get back down. Please continue to visit our website at xtreme-everest.co.uk for further news updates also.

Good luck to everyone as you continue your climb. I know how it feels to have doubts about ascending. If you could tell Maryam that there is a cucumber lying on a beach in Spain that is thinking of her every step of the way...

Climbed Pen Hill in Wensleydale, solo, for our 50th Anniversary last week. You're only doing another 8 storeys, so what?
Your cousin-in-law, Carol Mitchell (David's wife) is an Intensive Care Sister at LGI where Richard Hammond of BBC 'Top Gear' fame has been treated after a crash, causing "significant brain damage", at close to 300mph in a jet-powered car.
Not sure whether he was Carol's patient but, like us, he's now back in Gloucestershire and recovering.

Love, Mum, Dad and family.
