Let’s Talk Trailer!

What did the latest trailer tell us about the new series..? What were our fave bits and what questions did it have us asking..?

1. The new series is going to rock. Yep, we’re getting that one out of the way from the get go. It’s packed with humour, action and all the usual Doctor-y goodness we expect from our favourite Time Lord!

2. Bill likes to get involved, ask questions… But will it be a non-stop fun ride? In an earlier trailer we heard the Doctor’s new companion say, ‘I wouldn't miss it for the world, even if it kills me.’ And here we see her having the time of her life, but judging from the shot of her looking all teary, there’s also sadness in store…

3. We already knew the Daleks were back but in a teasery twist we see a female humanoid saying, ‘Exterminate!’ What’s that about?

4. Missy = so fine. We got our first glimpse of Michelle Gomez as Missy in the new series and yes, it was a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment but yes, it’s got us amped for the return of the ‘Queen of Evil’!

5. Nardole… We love Matt Lucas’ character and we were over the moon(base) when it was announced he was a big part of the new series. Inevitably, his bits in the trailer brought smiles to our faces…

6. Talking of smiles… Well, sort of. Smilies. Emoticons… It’s a new robot! Bill claims it speaks emoji. Intriguing…

7. And how cool is this new look Ice Warrior? (Pun intended.)

8. We knew the Mondasian Cybermen were returning but every time we see them they get creepier. This latest look at the Doctor’s old foes was a great reminder of just how chilling they can be…

9. The Doctor seems to be having a high old time! This makes us happy. Just does. To quote his words from the trailer: ‘Bring it!’

10. Bill and Nardole’s excellent adventure with the Doctor begins on Saturday, April 15th with ‘The Pilot’, the opening episode of the new series. Cannot. Wait!
