A Masterclass with the Man Behind the Monsters
The Doctor Who Team

Neill is a prosthetics designer and the director of Millennium FX, the BAFTA award winning make-up and special effects company responsible for the look of countless aliens who have crossed the Doctor’s path, as well as characters featured in BBC shows such as The Sarah Jane Adventures, Wizards vs. Aliens and Being Human.
The masterclass is part of BBC Radio 4’s Character Invasion, a fascinating project which combines an on-air celebration of how the characters we love have been created and bought to life, along with a day of free events across the country.
Neill’s masterclass will take place at Cardiff’s Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and begins at 1.30pm on Saturday, 29 March. It will offer an amazing insight into how some of some of television’s most striking monsters and aliens are created using cutting edge prosthetics, animatronics and special make-up FX.
You can apply for a maximum of four tickets per household and can register for tickets at any time until Thursday, 13 March at 4pm. For more details, including how to apply for tickets, visit the event information page or find out more about BBC Radio 4’s Character Invasion.
Please note, those attending Neill’s event must be 8 years-old or over and under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
