If you want a break from the Jubilee celebrations for a while this weekend, why not slip away to The Hungry Earth? You won’t find any bunting but you will find a drilling project that has gone horribly wrong and a terrifying attack launched by our planet’s former rulers: the Silurians!
Written by Chris Chibnall and featuring the Doctor, Amy and Rory, The Hungry Earth re-introduced the Silurians, an intelligent reptilian race that evolved long before mankind developed. In this adventure we discover they have been roused from a self-imposed slumber begun centuries ago. The trouble is, now they’ve woken up, they want their planet back!
The Hungry Earth is on BBC Three on Saturday at 7pm and you can find out more about the episode now! We’ve also got information on the Silurians including clips and galleries or if you want to look the part whilst watching the adventure, you could wear your mask with pride!
