The Doctor Who / Sherlock Crossover: Where We’re At
The Doctor Who Team

It’s a little known fact that Doctor Who’s showrunner, Steven Moffat, is one of the creative forces behind Sherlock. And by ‘little known fact’ we mean everyone’s aware of it. And so several times a day, people suggest to Steven Moffat that he writes a Doctor Who / Sherlock crossover in which the tec meets the Time Lord. We bet he loves this.
The idea was put to him at Comic Con and his take was clear. ‘For the record… I have no problem with the idea of them meeting.’
Steven also reflected how the two iconic figures would deal with each other. ‘They’re very different. I’m not sure how well they’d get on…’ And asked how the Doctor would react to Holmes, Peter Capaldi’s answer was a simple, ‘More cleverly…’
So, Steven Moffat wouldn’t have a problem with the TARDIS landing on Baker Street! Hurrah! But at this stage, we can’t confirm that K-9 is being brought out of retirement to play the lead in a crossover based on The Hound of the Baskervilles…
