Missy Moment #1
Michelle Gomez was already brilliant as Missy in her very first appearance as the character… Her intro scene came at the end of Deep Breath where she greets Half-Face Man (who we all thought was a goner) and talks about the Doctor in ways that had us wondering where she’d flown in from…
Missy Moment #2
She didn’t even speak in The Caretaker but she’s a chilling presence in ‘heaven’, calmly watching what happens when a dead man wakes up after death-by-Blitzer. At this point she’s still a total mystery and when Chris Addison’s Seb asks the new arrival, ‘Any questions?’ there were plenty we wanted answering!
Missy Moment #3
The Missy-snogs-the-Doctor moment in Dark Water. The kiss is striking enough but second time around we enjoyed Clara’s priceless reaction…
Missy Moment #4
Missy can be fantastic fun but she’s not joking when she calls herself the Queen of Evil. The scene where she offs Osgood is a fantastic moment of drama with ‘Say something nice!’ fast becoming the grimmest catch-phrase we’ve heard in years.
Missy Moment #5
The Doctor’s epic confrontation with Missy in the graveyard… So many good moments in this scene that it’s hard to pick just one, but the terrifying Time Lady tempting the Doctor with an army of Cybermen is the kind of twist that only Doctor Who can pull off, so it makes our top 5!
