Mamma Mia! Gala performance in aid of BBC Children in Need

Here at BBC Children in Need HQ in London, there's nothing we like more than a good song and a dance (except perhaps trying out our colleagues home-made cake recipes!). Not only do we have our fantastic line-up of top pop stars ready to tread the boards in 2012's POP Goes The Musical, but we've just had some fantastic news from our very good friends at Mamma Mia!

The long-running musical based on the songs of ABBA is due to move from the Prince of Wales Theatre to its brand new home at the Novello Theatre on the Aldwych. And to mark their move, the musical has decided to hold a fantastic Gala Performance of Mamma Mia on Wednesday 12 September in order to raise money for this year's BBC Children in Need appeal!
The special one-off Gala Performance will include special guest appearances by BBC Radio 2 presenters Vanessa Feltz, Anneka Rice and Penny Smith. BBC Children in Need's Life President Sir Terry Wogan will also be there to mark this special night, along with a celebrity-packed audience to help celebrate MAMMA MIA!’s new London home.
At least 80% of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to BBC Children in Need. To book tickets for this special event, either visit the Mamma Mia! website, or phone the Box Office on 0844 482 5115.
