Bedtime Hour Line-up Changes: Autumn 2015
The CBeebies Bedtime hour is changing on Friday 30th October 2015. Find out which shows are moving and which ones are staying put, and why it's important that the CBeebies schedule changes from time-to-time.

Hi, I’m Steve and I’m the CBeebies Schedule Manager. I want to tell you about some changes we are making to the Bedtime Hour this Autumn.
Here at CBeebies, we know how important the bedtime hour is to you and your little ones. It is often part of their night time routine, with pointers to get children ready for bed around certain programmes or used as wind down time before they go to sleep. For this reason there are strong attachments to programmes between 6 and 7pm and so we try to keep the schedule consistent with as few changes as possible.
You may wonder why we change it at all but the truth is that not all children like the same programmes. We have a very broad audience that we have to appeal to - from newborn babies right up to 6 year olds who may have been at school for two years.
With this in mind, every so often we alter the programme line-up so that as much of our audience as possible get the opportunity to see their favourites in the hour from 6 to 7pm.
This time we are trying something new. From Friday 30th October, iPlayer will run a CBeebies Bedtime Favourites collection for about a week.
This will contain episodes from the old Bedtime Hour and to help with the transition there will also be some from the new line up in there. This CBeebies Bedtime FavouritesiPlayer collection will run all weekend then from 6pm for the first week of the new line up.

This time around we welcome the Clangers to Bedtime, alongside old favourites Abney and Teal from Sunday to Thursday.
Charlie and Lola and Waybuloo aren’t going far, they will move to Friday and Saturdays, while In The Night Garden and CBeebies Bedtime Stories will close every day, as they usually do.
Melody and Old Jack’s Boat will still be part of the CBeebies schedule, and will be shown just before the Bedtime Hour on Saturdays so they can be recorded or watched on CBeebies iPlayer. Keep an eye on your TV guide or planner for more details.
We don’t make these changes lightly. We’re very aware of the role that the Bedtime Hour plays in getting children ready for bed, which is why we always try to implement any changes at weekends and at times that they are least disruptive.
The new Bedtime Hour will begin on Friday 30th October.

Abney & Teal will be on Sunday to Thursday evenings at 6.10pm.
We always try to alert grown-ups to the changes beforehand so that you can start to prepare your child, and make the transition as smooth as possible (this is also your cue to record any old favourites that you think you might need!).
We hope this outlines our carefully thought-out reasons for the upcoming change, and that your little ones will enjoy the new Bedtime Hour line-up!
