Once a year I jam my lanky legs into an undersized seat and get as comfortable as possible for an impending 30hrs hours mind numbing boredom... Why, I hear you cry, would you voluntarily inflict this on yourself?? Well, just take a look at some of the pictures below. Australia has one of the most vibrant hard dance scene in the world and has done for more than a decade to my knowledge, with DJ's from all over the world making a point of touring at least once a year.

On my 2 week tour this time, one gig stood out to me as being particularly amazing, Magic City in Sydney!! Held at a 5000 capacity pavilion just outside the centre of the city, the whole event was a massive rave themed like a boxing event, with each DJ battling a fellow DJ.
Between sets, the music stopped and a ring announcer hyped the crowd while each DJ was escorted through the masses in full boxing rob and gloves with scantily clad girls bearing flags of the representing counties!! This all added to the already crazy atmosphere, and when I hit play on my first track, I actually thought the place was going to cave in!!

It's always great to visit different countries and therefore different clubbing cultures, as you always leave taking some new knowledge and inspiration home with you. This time i've come home on the hunt for a pavilion and someone to fight... In musical context, of course!!
