What have we been up to?

It feels like ever since we got back from Ibiza in September, it's been deadline after deadline after deadline. We're just about out of the danger zone now, and our sanity remains intact. However, the recent flurry of Christmas ad campaigns could easily tip us over the brink - my dog does not need turkey and cranberry flavoured treats and we can most definitely do without Robson & Jerome's festive classics!

That said, we've found loads of new music that more than compensates for the torrent of yuletide tosh that is currently been pumped out of our televisions and less discerning radio stations. New artists that are really exciting us right now include Belgium's newest Disco offering Mustang, Italian funk & House specialist Broke One & homegrown Techno heads like Ado, Screen Death & Clouds. But that's really just the tip of the iceberg.

There's nothing like the buzz you get when you come across an amazing new artists, we're so lucky to have our radio show as a means to then share our findings with millions of people around the world. Over the past couple of months we've covered for Pete, Annie & Kissy as well, so our foray for freshness has been frantically fierce! (try saying that at 5am on a Sunday morning!).

However, it would seem the BBC decided we were getting far too comfortable doing shows from the basement of Radio 1, and a few weeks ago we were packed off to Warsaw to see what makes it tick. Whilst we were there we met loads of young people who are really changing the traditional communist landscape of Poland - the documentary goes out on Monday (15th) so make sure you check it out. You may well be surprised! Hear it here from the 15th!

With that lot in the bag, we then hit the studio to wrap up a new J&AG track, just in time to put it on our forthcoming Mixmag cover CD - something else we've been slaving/ obsessing over recently. We just about got it to the church in time (aka had the CD couriered to the mastering house approximately 15 minutes before the deadline). Let's just hope the honeymoon goes with a bang!

Which brings us neatly to today. Ahead of us now is more Moda parties as part of our tour, more studio sessions (the aim is to have a new EP ready for Feb), more gigs, more radio and well, whatever else I've forgotten... I think that's about it.

P.S. If we accidentally play some Robson & Jerome, you know why!
