Tyrannasonic Deaf Rays – Fool Hardy
Thursday 12th May, 2016
They Say: “We recorded ‘Fool Hardy’ in and around the same time we recorded our first E.P 'Prehistoric Power'. It’s basically about just believing in yourself and not to get too caught up in following those who may lead you in a direction you don't want to go.
We are very pleased with the end product. There was a lot of vintage gear used such as microphones, stylophones and a charity shop guitar (bargain!!). Due to the unconventional methods on how it was recorded we feel it has a rather unique sound of its own and definitely is one for the summer.”
We Say: “In ‘Fool Hardy’, Tyrannasonic Deaf Rays’ knack for writing smartly-crafted pop shines through first and foremost. There’s a hint of Motown in that wandering bassline with the big-chorus harmonies elevating it to another level. Optimistic and irresistibly fun, it’s a great track to turn up loud on a sunny day.”
From Kilkeel, Tyrannasonic Deaf Rays are Neil Cromie (Lead Vocals and Guitar), Ronan Rogers (Bass and Vocals) and Mick Kearney (Drums)
