Cut In Blinks - Sad Love
Tuesday 10th January, 2017
They say:“This piece is about losing a loved one. For me losing someone rips me from my own little world down to the real world where my family and friends aren’t invincible and bad s**t happens.
It's a whirlwind of emotions. A mix of sadness and a deep love for that person. It’s tough. But as with most things time heals and you continue on with hopefully a little bit more love than sadness in your heart.”
We say: An introspective soundscape with somnambulist synths and crunching power chords, Sad Love is a meditative listen. Its three minutes fly by, with inquisitive found sounds and comforting vocal samples taking the listener on a transcendent journey.
Given the inspiration, it’s no surprise that Sad Love instills a range of emotions. It’s melancholic, it’s uplifting, it’s both and it’s neither. Ultimately, it’s very human.”
A project by Belfast producer Neil Hughes, Cut In Blinks are set to perform on the Belfast Barge, on Jan 28th, along with Gross Net, Die Hexen and Ruth Bate.
