Young Earth – Got A Secret

Thursday 16th February, 2017

They say: “'Got A Secret' originally started out as a slower acoustic track until that riff came about later in the writing process - from then on it morphed into to this aggressive sound matching the lyrics. I wanted to play around with structure and not stay on a certain segment for too long, constantly keeping things moving without a definitive chorus.

The producer (Ciaran O’Shea) really captured the energy of the song live and pushed it into a bigger sound. It's a completely different beast than our last single (Maggie) that plays into the heavier side of our sound.”

We say: “Stuck in our heads for the past week, ‘Got A Secret’ has one of the catchiest verses we’ve heard in a while. The bright and breezy vocals are excellent and work so well coming out of the chorus. These four lads from Dublin sound like a well-oiled machine - definitely ones to watch.”

‘Got A Secret’ releases on Friday 10th of March and their previous song ‘Maggie’ and ‘Bloodlove’ are available to stream for free now,

As often as possible Across the Line aims to bring you a great new, recent or interesting track each day, Monday to Friday. To get your new music to Across the Line send it via the BBC Introducing Uploader.
