Atlantic Sessions is back again for its 11th year of showcasing Northern Irish talent. Taking over pretty much everywhere except Barry’s up the North Coast, the festival will see over 100 acts appearing in coffee shops, hotels, and restaurants along with the usual spots like Arcadia and The Atlantic Bar. And if you can manage to run between venues, the 10 preforming acts from Northern Ireland Music Prize will also be scattered about between Portrush and Portstewart.

With the festival kicking off on Thursday 14th November with gigs like The Muscle Shoals Sessions, we are all about Friday when our own Across the Line presenter Gemma Bradley plays Me & Mrs Jones with her sweet R&B, pop-soul sound. If you like it louder, New Pagans and Problem Patterns will be tearing up The Atlantic Bar with Godfather of Punk, Terri Hooley on the decks. Not at the same time, we hope.

Unless you can teleport you won’t be able to catch everything on Saturday, but with Tour Alaska at Arcadia, and Ciara O’Neill at Babuska in the afternoon, it’s a great chill out afternoon before the big gig of the weekend, Ryan McMullan up at Kelly’s.

Festival passes and ticketed event tickets are online at atlanticsessions.com with maps for each day for handiness.
