Beauty Sleep – The Dark

They Say: "The Dark is the first song we have released into the world. We thought it was about being sad but now we think it's more about love. It's about being there for your person when they are blue, not doing much - just being a human hug. It's been an exciting adventure for us to start something together. It's probably the truest version of ourselves we have ever been, so we loaded the track with what we love, dreamy chorus-y synths and guitars.”
We say: “Yet another welcomed reinvention - this time half the Wondervillains make up two thirds of the triplet (little bit of fun maths, there) that is Beauty Sleep. Given the background, this track is a little more reflective and dreamy than you may expect, yet predictably sweet and fun."
Belfast's Beauty Sleep trio comprises of Ryan, Cheylene and Aimee, and the band released their debut single 'The Dark' on 19th February. They play alongside Strength and Franklyn at Bar Sub, Queens, Belfast on 26th February.
