Ravens - Comfort is a slow death

Friday 5th May, 2017

They say: “Our songs don't have lyrics so we approach writing from a position of making music that we enjoy. The title of the song comes next. 'Comfort is a slow death' is a statement of reflection on the impact of empty consumerism and an unstated encouragement to take risks. However, the main thing is that we like the sound and feel of the song.”

We say: “Brooding and explosive, ‘Comfort is a slow death’ meanders between hope and contemplation before releasing into a final outburst of sound. A strong debut from this Belfast post-rock outfit.”

‘Comfort is a slow death’ is the debut single from Belfast post-rock five-piece Ravens, and is available to stream now.
