Jonny Tiernan joins Rigsy to talk through some of the most exciting new music to hit their ears this week.

Elspeth – You’re Mine

Jonny Tiernan: “It sounds so different to anything they have done before. It kind of reminds me of My Morning Jacket…if they have an album of this, I’ll take it!”

Hit The B Button - Blue Potion

Rigsy: “They are clearly onto something. A great song will always shine through. The ability to record a track as polished as this wouldn’t have happened ten years ago.”

Ed Zealous – Thanks A Million

Jonny: “Not only does it sound amazing, all the material I’ve heard so far sounds perfect! It’s pristine, it’s well produced, it’s poppy. It is everything I love about Ed Zealous.”

Rigsy: “I could have played any of those tunes (from ‘Wired’) and it wouldn’t have mattered as they’re all super strong. Very promising for the debut record.”

Scout Hardcastle and Meljoann – Fetishes

Jonny: “I just love this! It is kind of off kilter as well. A bit like Chvrches and HAIM. It’s on the money with that current wave.”

Rigsy: “This is fantastic. She’s had stuff on ATL before which was brilliant as well…she’s a very reliable artist.”

UNKNWN – Tucker

Jonny: “Anything Annie Mac is a fan of you should be a fan of it too. Musically it has got a lot of dept, there is a lot going on. I think he has got a very bright future ahead of him.”

Million Little Gods – Need A Little

Rigsy: “ It is such a brilliant track, you try and think of clever things to say about some tracks. But it’s just a good song which I knew would sound good on the radio.’
