Ships performing at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize 2018 ceremony.
The RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Album of the Year 2017 has been awarded to Ships for their album ‘Precession’.
Announced at a sold-out ceremony last night (Thursday 8th March 2018), the award was decided by a judging panel of Irish music media professionals, with a €10,000 cash prize provided by IMRO and IRMA alongside the award.
Chasing Abbey took home the prize for Irish Song Of The Year with their track ‘That Good Thing’, decided by public vote.
The ceremony took place in Dublin’s Vicar Street and was broadcast live to RTÉ 2FM with a one-hour TV highlights programme on RTÉ 2 on Sunday March 18th, at 11pm.
