Saint Sapphire - She's A Hero
Tuesday 17th January 2017
They say: “She's A Hero came about as a result of just wanting to make a really back to basics, meat and potatoes rock n roll song, just a really simple tune with a big riff and a big vocal that people can sing along to.
We would love to give the song a really deep meaning but it's about a bird, funnily enough.
The sound took a lot of inspiration from being turned on to various new rock n roll bands such as Red Sun Rising and Pretty Vicious, while still trying to keep on our trademark alternative rock sound.”
We say: “One part pop-punk to one part glam-metal with a down-and-dirty rock 'n' roll garnish, Saint Sapphire's She's A Hero is a behemoth of a track.
All huge drums and big licks, it's a massively confident release from a band who have certainly found their stride.”
Saint Sapphire's self-titled EP launches on February 3rd, with a gig at Voodoo, Belfast. Support comes from Petty Youth, On Parole and The Bell Diver Spiders.
