Not Squares - Oops Said Hi
We say: “Is it insulting to say this sounds like how the band The Klaxons could have been, had they not chosen, you know, mediocrity? Regardless, this is loaded with the wonderfully glitzy, joyous vibes we expect from Not Squares - with added epic-ness. It feels like this new record may well be worth every second of the two year wait.”
They say: "Oops Said Hi - is the latest track to be made public from our forthcoming second album 'Bolts'. Musically it carries a palette of sounds we've been playing with for some time, a bass line that sounds like a rubber band being stretched, vocals that move between vocoder and straight up pop melodies and a number of warm synths to carry it through. Also there's a live bass at the end of the track, that we felt reflected a more disco side to our jams. The vocal content plays with a more reflective 'I'm missing you' kind of sentiment, but always attempts to bring you to a positive place. Keith Winter of Not Squares."
