Legendary guitar virtuoso, Steve Vai will hold a workshop as part of the City of Culture celebrations.
The demonstration and discussion will take place at the Nerve Centre on Wednesday the 28th of August.
Marty McGill, Nerve Centre music programme manager, said: “A lot of musicians from Derry~Londonderry would hold up Steve Vai and Joe Satriani as key influences, including many of the people who set up the Nerve Centre in the first place! In a way, Steve's music has been one of the drivers behind our programmes for music education and talent development.”
The next day Vai will play the Mandela Hall, Belfast which kicks off his European tour.
