David Lyttle and VerseChorusVerse - 'Yet To Break'

Thursday 12th November 2015

We Say: "We were confused as to how a folk troubadour and a jazz drummer could possibly work together and have it make any sense, but just a few moments into Monday’s session it all made perfect sense and we began to feel a little silly.

The shared passion is for the blues and for improvisation, so Tony was able to scat a little with his vocals while David went off piste with the drumming. Stripped down to a two piece and defying any conventions made the whole thing pretty rock n’ roll."

They Say: "Our new album is called 'Say And Do'. We're so proud of it and think you can hear how much fun we're having when you listen. This album is about as real as it could be. We only used two mics and in some cases David only heard the songs that day.

We relied on the strength of the songs, the chemistry and our performances. Amidst a sea of artificial sweeteners, this is in every sense, real, honest and a whole lot of fun."

‘Yet To Break’ was performed live by David Lyttle and VerseChorusVerse, for Across the Line, in BBC Radio Ulster on Monday 9th November. Their debut album 'Say And Do' is released on Friday 20th November.
