Public House – Call Me In The Morning

Tuesday 28th March, 2017

They say:
“Call me in the morning is a song about turbulent relationships. The ones that are up and down, fleeting in nature, and ultimately doomed to fail.

Lead singer Conor McCrisken had developed the melody for the song a while ago, and we had been sitting on it for some time - debating about the right direction to take it lyrically.

It was then that our drummer Conor Magee put forward the melancholic lyrics and we thought it was a good fit to tie in some downbeat subject matter with an upbeat melody. I suppose it’s in some way representative of the human condition, in that many of us will put on a happy face even if we’re not so happy underneath.”

We say: “With its laid back groove and romantic guitar, ‘Call Me In The Morning’ pulls off the ultimately quite hard juxtaposition of a positive melody with more serious themes.

Fans of Razorlight will enjoy this one with its catchy chorus and cool, comforting vocals.”

‘Call Me In The Morning’ is the bands new single and their new music video is available to watch now.
