
Girls Names are among the Out to Lunch lineup for 2016.
Now in its 11th iteration, the Out to Lunch arts festival is set to return to Belfast in the new year.
Running from 8th– 31st January, the programme includes an eclectic roster of musical acts, such as Girls Names , former CQAF artist in residence Ciaran Lavery, Villagers, The 2 Bears, Beardyman, Dick Gaughan, Patty Griffin, Emily Barker and The Song Writing Circle Tour- featuring James Yorkston, Withered Hand & The Pictish Trail - and the Mercury Prize-nominated East India Youth.
Furthermore, Matthew E White performs in Belfast for the first time, while Out to Lunch alumni Jim “The King” Brown, Hazel O’Connor all return to the line-up alongside Lindi Ortega, The Strypes, and NI Opera.
There will also be bespoke comedy, theatre and spoken word line-ups, as well as family-friendly all ages events. The full programme and booking information can be found on the Out to Lunch website.
In other arts-related news, the Lyric Theatre’s Executive Producer Jimmy Fay announced last night that Duke Special will be the Lyric’s new artist in residence, and will focus in part on a musical adaptation of Huckleberry Finn based on songs written by Kurt Weill.
