Music City Weekend set times announced

Preliminary set times have been released for this weekend’s Music City event in Derry~Londonderry. This year, the festival has been extended to three days; between 19th and 21st June.

Over the weekend, there are over 100 bands, artists and events planned across the city, from live music to the Music City Record Fair. Events will take place in several venues from churches to libraries, with the idea to “Occupy Derry With Music”.



The set times for the main ATL music hotspots are;



Saturday

12noon – 5pm: Set The Stage

The Craft Village

2.25pm: Shoot The Messenger

5.45pm: Riot Upstairs

7.00pm: Lost Avenue



Sunday

3.45pm: Rainy Boy Sleep

5.40pm: Robyn G Shiels

7.45pm: Hot Cops



Guildhall Square

4.30pm: Glenn Rosborough

7.30pm: The Clameens

8.15pm: The Wood Burning Savages

9.00pm: Triggerman

Hard Working Class Heroes open for applications

Hard Working Class Heroes is now open for applications from new musicians, bands and singer-songwriters for this year’s showcase.



100 acts who apply will then be shortlisted to play at the festival, which will this year run from 1st-3rd October.



The festival and conference, which has been running since 2003, has highlighted many ATL favourites including HamsandwicH, Villagers and Hozier. Alongside music, the festival will include panels and workshops with music industry professionals.



Applications for this year’s Hard Working Class Heroes will close on Thursday 16th July, 2015.
