The five acts selected for Scratch My Progress 2018 have been announced, with Alice LA, Dena Anuk$a, Ferals, Gemma Bradley and Kid Trench set to benefit from the mentoring programme.
Across the next nine months, the project will offer support and advice from industry professionals, working alongside a Talent Development Coordinator to take part in workshops, professional photo shoots, voice coaching and showcase gigs. The artists can also avail of free rehearsal time and receive PR and digital marketing support.
Now in its 7th year, 2018 was a record breaking year for applications to the talent development programme, which is based in the Oh Yeah Music Centre. The centre is a partner of the PRS Foundation, along with 39 other organisations working with new music across the UK. The programme, supported through the Help Musicians UK National Grants Programme and Arts Council of N.Ireland aims to support Scratch in promoting and nurturing strong emerging talent, both locally and to audiences, industry and festivals on a wider level.
