That New Band Smell: Duncan Campbell and The Duty Paid Society

Across The Line

Hello fellow aficionados of local music. This week we have an alternative rock band that play with more strings than a family of cats at a twine factory, a solo project of dark pop from Dublin and a band Terri Hooley has his eye on.

Brightfalls - Treasure

Alternative rock full of saturated melody from four sprightly young turks from Belfast.

Seeping into Cinema's - Shoot Out

Shoot Out is a brooding pop song that kisses then punches. Check out their debut album here.Trust me I'm a doctor (I am not a doctor).

Duncan Campbell and The Duty Paid Society - Chance in a Life Time

Folk pop from Lisburn that comes with Good Vibrations head honcho Terri Hooley's stamp of approval. Based in Lisburn, Duncan Campbell formerly of Universal Remedy has recruited four like mind souls to flesh out the pretty little ditties he writes. The three tracks ATL have heard are delicately catchy, nicely layered pop songs. I'd keep my 'eye' on these ones.
