Heliopause - Horizon
Friday 8th January 2016
He Says: “The track Horizon is one of the more indie-rock tracks and one of the first written for the album. I remember practicing it with a band I briefly formed in Brighton at the time and it hasn’t really changed since the original demos, compared to how other songs have developed. Lyrically, I guess Horizon is about keeping people at arms distance in order to have a sense of control and independence, but ending up distancing yourself so far that you lose sight of reality.”
We Say: “Richard Davis was chiefly appreciated in 2015 as the animator who made those Malojian videos so astonishing. But local music watchers will also know that Richard is a musician in his own right and that his return with more Heliopause music is a singular treat. 'Horizon' is a taster for the crowd-funded album 'How Can We Laugh After This'. Breathy vocals, some electro twang and the sunny side of the already substantial Heliopause art."
Heliopause’s album ‘How Can We Laugh After This?” is officially released on 15th February 2016.
