Immediately ‘Prime Number’ stuns and stops you, and it’s like being clubbed round the head. Comparisons to The Breeders and Wolf Alice are inevitable, but there’s more to Bitch Falcon. They’re loud and unforgiving, almost purposely burying melody deep, deep down within a wall of sound.
Full of Michael Hutchence swagger, singer Lizzie Fitzpatrick’s voice floats over the top, flirting with Robert Smith-esque guitars that try to swim free from an unforgiving low end, thudding in the head harder and more brutal than a 3 piece should.
This release is as tight and controlled as the sound is big and ambitious. Bitch Falcon are ready to soar.
