Niamh Hegarty joined Rigsy to talk about some of their favourite releases including:

Talos – Bloom

Niamh: “It’s just a beautiful track...he’s certainly one to watch over the next year.”

No Monster Club – I’ve Retired

Niamh: “It’s from ‘People Are Weird’...I just think this is an absolute gorgeous tune. It’s probably the best thing Bobby Ahern has done to date.”

Citizen Nobody – Alskar

Rigsy: “There’s a great song in there which just builds...very promising stuff.”

Niamh: “It kind of reminds me of Grizzly Bear in parts…I really like this.”

The Altered Hours – I’m On a High

Niamh: “I did get to see them live recently and that’s why I chose this track, they’re absolutely incredible live.”

The Shout – Wait for Me

Rigsy: “With their huge ambition, it could be a decent year for The Shout.”

No Spill Blood – Back To the Earth

Rigsy: “So this is just absolutely, colossal stuff...very, very chaotic.”

Niamh: “I just really love this tune and I think they’re the kind of band you need to experience live.”

Fierce Mild – Bell Hooks

Niamh: “This track ‘Bell Hooks’ is definitely punk at its best...I hope to see a lot more from them.”

Owen Denvir – Human Touch

Rigsy: “There’s some really nice touches in both the track and how it’s presented...quite simple baseline, the harmonies in Owen’s vocal - very, very lovely indeed and that’s what makes it for me.”

Niamh: “I really like this track...it’s gorgeous.”
