Sea Pinks – Depth of Field
Friday 30th October 2015
They say: “Depth of Field was written around a guitar line which is unusual for me as usually with Sea Pinks stuff it starts with chords. So it was a nice way into the song and it was written pretty quickly from there. It had some different words in the verses to start with but then I pared it back. It’s not often that a track turns out the way I hear it my head but this is pretty close, it has an immediacy to it which hopefully makes it work as a single and a centre piece to the new record.”
We say: “Such prolific bands are rarely so reliable, but Sea Pinks are back with another record and sounding as sweet and jangly as ever. ‘Depth of Field’ finds them in reflective form.”
