Captain - Time Is A Patient Man

Friday 16th December, 2016

They say: “As a kid, I remember often trying to wrap my head around the concept of 'forever'. I think so many of my childhood questions remain unanswered, and somewhere between the unknown, I wrote this song.

It's the first single from my debut album, which was recorded at Safe Place Studios, and although originally written on an acoustic in my bedroom, evolved into something far more diverse, yet just as raw; much like those pending queries about our temporary place on a seemingly unending timeline."

We say: “Existential spoken-word is the order of the day in ‘Time Is A Patient Man’, as Captain (real name Martin Frazer) muses on the concepts of infinity and eternity.

Reminding us of artists like Florida rapper Sage Francis, Captain is clearly a personal and unique project, Frazer’s prose perfectly entwined with the backdrop of reverb-laden guitar.

It’s an ambitious track, and yes the themes are big, but the artist’s delivery is gargantuan - commanding and comforting in almost equal measure..”

Captain's debut album, 'Listen Honestly', is available to buy now.
