Sorcha Richardson – Ruin Your Night

Tuesday 8th November, 2016

They say:
“’Ruin Your Night’ is a story that starts with a stolen bottle of rum. It's sort of a word of warning to the other person in the relationship that says "You may not realize where this relationship is going, but I do. This is who I am, and if you didn't understand that from the night you met me (when I stole your bottle of rum) then you only have yourself to blame." I wrote it in New York and toyed a lot with the arrangement and production before sending some ideas back and forth with Alex Casnoff, eventually flying out to LA to record the song with him.”

We say: “In ‘Ruin Your Night’ Sorcha Richardson has - once again - dropped another hugely infectious track. Full of smart hooks and perfectly scene-setting lyrics - with that threat of impending trouble – it is a hugely memorable track from the Dublin born, New York based musician.

Born in Dublin, Sorcha Richardson is based in Brooklyn, New York. Previous releases have included ‘Lost’, ‘Walk Away’ and ‘Petrol Station’. ‘Ruin Your Night’ is out now via the Swim Out label.
