Michael Mormecha – The Opera House

Tuesday 1st November, 2016

They say:
"Fiona O'kane was sitting on the floor of the studio messing with a sound on her laptop, I quickly plugged her in and ran next door and started jamming on the kit, some dirty riffs and a few cups of tea later we had the tune! Its a punky, glitchy freak out."

We say: “A bombastic slab of analogue synth grooves and swaggering staccato harmonies (with Runaway GO’s Fiona O'Kane also on vocal duties), ‘The Opera House’ sees Michael Mormecha at his most confident and catchy.”

‘The Opera House’ is from Michael Mormecha’s album LOFi LiFE, which was released earlier this year. The single’s video was released last week and features Fiona O’Kane on ‘words and shouts’. Michael plays The Atlantic Sessions in Portrush on 18th November, Warrenpoint the following night and London on 30th November.
