The recent resurgence of 80s nostalgia has left a synth-shaped hole in our white leather hearts, and as such we're somewhat ironically looking to new artists Alpha Chrome Yayo, Danny Madigan, and the recent release of remixes from Arvo party for our 808 kicks. You'd think that the indie-rock of Son of The Hound might not lend itself to such a style of remix, with Michael McCullough's feet planted firmly in 1970s soil, but here Arvo Party has brought the track moonwalking into the 80s, while retaining the charm of The Hound.

This remix could be right out of a revenge scene in any 80s movie, the danger element throughout building to a leather-clad ‘fist in the air’ climax.

It's hard to fault this recent run of remixes, with Arvo Party's ability to turn a song on its head while showing off the original songwriting, but the question remains - it's clear Arvo Party has mastered the remix, but once School's out, where will he go next?
