Empty Lungs – Don’t Get It

Thursday 9th March, 2017

They say:
“Don’t Get It is a critique of a culture that warps young people into thinking that self-image and selfishness are the core values of our modern society, that the only dreams worth having are the ones that revolve around wealth, celebrity and looking ‘beautiful’.

That’s a load of nonsense and those kinds of attitudes create an atmosphere that alienates anyone that doesn’t fit the mould. The youth culture that we love revolves around tolerance, art, activism and social change. Unfortunately these aren’t the dreams being sold to many of us.”

We say: “Fast paced and high octane, ‘Don’t Get It’ has come into this world kicking and screaming.

You can feel the bands convictions oozing out of ‘Don’t Get It’ and in true punk style this is a song that doesn’t know the meaning of a half measure.

Empty Lungs have created one of the catchiest tunes we’ve heard in a long time. It’s short, sweet and well… You get it.”

‘Don’t Get It’ is taken from Empty Lungs EP of the same name which launches at the Belfast Barge on Saturday 1st April with Chewing On Tinfoil, Life Goals and Anna’s Anchor.
