New Atlas - Morphine

Monday 30th January 2017

They say: “When I was 11 I died in hospital of a bad reaction to Morphine. Pretty freaky, but that is the inspiration. The meaning of the song is about my fear of love. I don't get too close to anyone, not even my pets. So this song is about facing that fear and asking for love, even if it kills me.”

We say: “The lyrical subtext of this song is very powerful considering it’s such an upbeat and energetic song. A fantastic juxtaposition of the serious and carefree in under three minutes. ”

‘Morphine’ was released on January 27th and can be streamed for free right now.
