ICONS Festival for Belfast
ICONS Festival is set to take place in the Titanic Quarter, Belfast from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th September. The event which focuses on the meeting of tech, music and screen is to feature speakers including Phil Taggart from BBC Radio 1 and Hometown Records, Chuck D of Public Enemy and Nicola Roberts, former member of Girls Aloud. The event will also include a digital skills expo, careers carnival and film screenings.
Belfast International Arts Festival
The programme has been released for the Ulster Bank Belfast International Arts Festival which runs 9th October to 1st November. Featuring 134 events from 23 countries the festival will have a focus on arts and culture from India and Mexico as well as physical theatre, dance, installations and music; including performances by Father John Misty, Waterboys, Andy Irvine and Bell X1. Events and installations will take place in venues and areas across the city, including the Belfast Synagogue in North Belfast, the New Lodge & the Conway Street Mill.
Hard Working Class Heroes Schedule
The day-by-day breakdown of acts and venues for Dublin's HWCH has been revealed with 103 bands playing across seven venues from Thursday 1st to Sunday 3rd October. 100 of the acts were selected by a panel of Irish and international music industry professionals and include SlowPlaceLikeHome, Pleasure Beach, Hot Cops, The Soft Look, Silences, Loris, Arborist, Best Boy Grip and PORTS.
