Gig Round-up: New Additions to Electric Picnic, Gig News for Eagulls, George Ezra, the Jesus and Mary Chain & Interpol

The line-up for Electric Picnic now includes 23 newly-announced acts. Among those headed to Stradbally Estate, Co. Laois for the weekend-long festival are the likes of James Vincent McMorrow, Bombay Bicycle Club, The 1975, Hozier, Cathy Davey and Le Galaxie. They will be joined by headliners such as Portishead, Outkast, Blondie and Simple Minds, amongst others. Electric Picnic will take place from Friday 29th – Sunday 31st August.

English singer/songwriter George Ezra has announced a gig at Limelight 1 in Belfast on Tuesday 14th October. He will there to promote his debut album ‘Wanted on Voyage’, with support from Rae Morris. Also, post-punk outfit Eagulls are headed to Limelight 2 on Wednesday 22nd October.

South of the border, renowned Scottish alt-rockers The Jesus & Mary Chain are to hit the stage at Vicar Street on Thursday 31st July.

Finally, Interpol have added a second date to their appearance at the Olympia Theatre next year. They will now be playing on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th February 2015.
