PHAYON - Halo
They Say - "The track was inspired by something that a dear friend had said to me many years ago in New York. Jeff is no longer with us. It was early morning on Ave A. A moment in time where everything stood still. The ambience of the track reflects that time of day, 5 am in the East Village, the last of the regulars spilling out of the pubs, the pulse of the city in wee hours of the morning. We had just gotten our Juno 106 and Niall started playing the loveliest sounds. I'd been thinking about that moment a lot in the weeks prior...and the music Niall was playing felt so right, it just inspired the words and melody to come."
We Say – “Transatlantic relations reach an all-time high as New Yorker Kim Topper's gorgeous vocals do Derrywan Niall Kearney's beautifully trippy, haunting production great justice. Gary Lightbody's also a fan, which comes as no surprise. The man has taste!”
