ASIWYFA – Run Home

They Say: “Run Home was the first song that we wrote for the new record. A lot of it came together in a rehearsal room in Brighton on a day off touring ‘All Hail Bright Futures’ - so it has moments of reminiscence for me. And although the majority of the initial ideas for HEIRS didn't make it through to the final picks - this one maintained, as I think it's so great to play live. I wouldn't quite say this song has lyrics but the few words in it are inspired by the people around us, where we're from and that essential connection that stays with us where ever we go. It's about that conflict you sometimes feel when you’re so grateful to be somewhere new, yet so longing to be amongst those you love. It's the opening song off the new record and it sets a certain tone, though I think people will be very interested when they see where the album goes after that. It's a bit of a journey…”

We Say: “No tease campaigns, no ‘soft’ launches, no toe dipping. And So I Watch You From Afar are back with a welcomed punch in the face, a blistering, relentless (yet strangely quite fun) slab of riffage called ‘Run Home’. Oh, and two mammoth, destined to sell-out shows either side of the border. Fourth (!!) will destroy us, we’re certain of it."
